KUSTOM: KUSUN
Made Circa 1968 -Prototype

Kustom, kusun, blonde, 1pu, trapezoid shape, solid body, tapeze tailpieceThis is a Kustom Kusun model guitar made by Kustom Electronics of Ross Inc. in Chanute, Kansas. It is a one of a kind prototype that was never marketed for sale by Kustom Electronics. It has many of the same features as the Kustom 200 series including a DeArmond pickup, a specially designed adjustable nickel chrome plated bridge with six individually adjustable saddles and innovative caps that fit over the bridge studs holding it in place, a nickel-chrome plated nut, a two piece laminated neck with unique fret markings and a chrome plate at the bottom of the fret board, Kluson Deluxe tuners, two metal strap pins and a trapeze style tailpiece. It also has a natural finish on a isosceles trapezoid shaped body with an input jack located on the treble side. This guitar was used in the 1960s and 1970s by a Kustom employee to demonstrate Kustom instruments at trade shows. Kustom, known for producing Naugahyde covered, padded amps, made guitars and basses from 1967 to 1969 only. These instruments had a great look and a unique sound. This guitar, a beautiful and one of a kind find that you do not want to miss, was perhaps a prototype used to develop their K200 line of guitars. Get your hands on this piece of guitar history.
