MULTIVOX PREMIER
Model: BANTAM DELUXE - E712
circa 1959

Multivox Premier Bantom electric guitar circa 1959 This is an extremely rare, Multivox Premier Bantam Deluxe, hollow body, with a gold and blond (natural (front) and gold (back)) finish, electric guitar, circa 1959. The guitar is 100% original. It's a very early model with the white potted (I think they're ceramic) pickups (later ones were metal.) The pickups are super strong: the bridge is brighter and twangy but not too thin sounding and the neck is very full and rich. It has a white sparkle pick guard and knob covers. The knobs are metal and seem like aluminum (possibly nickel.) It's serial number is 14xx. It's fully bound. The binding is very worn. It has mother of pearl circular inlays for fret markers. The action is medium-fast. The neck is straight and all the electronics work properly. The body finish is a whole other thing. There's crazing in the finish and various nicks. The neck shows years of playing wear; someone really played baby. The dimensions of this guitar are 13 inches at the widest point on the body and 38.5 inches in total length. The fretboard is 17.5" long and 24.5" from the base of the neck to the top of the headstock. The body is 2.75" deep. It includes a chipboard case.Description from VintageSilvertones.com
