SILVERTONE 1358/U1
1955

Silvertone 1358 made by Danelectro U1, one pickup, electric guitar, semi-hollow body, coral finish white vinyl binding, masonite body, lipstick pickup, made in 1955 This is a very rare Silvertone 1358 (Danelectro model: U1), "peanut" (smaller body), single cutaway electric guitar. It is a semi-hollowbody, solid-center, Masonite over pine construction with a coral lacquer finish, white vinyl binding, one lipstick tube-style pickup, a four way adjustable, unplated, light weight aluminum bridge with a Brazilian rosewood saddle, a metal nut, a clear plastic pickguard, a Coke-bottle headstock, two white plastic knobs, and original white plastic strap buttons. It was made by Danelectro in Neptune, New Jersey in 1955 and it is in good playing and collecting condition especially for an axe that is about sixty year old! The neck is straight with nice fast action and the pickups are as clear and potent as they have ever been. This guitar is 100% original and it comes in a rare coral color. It still looks lovely, feels fantastic and sounds superb. Don't miss your chance to get this classic!Description from VintageSilvertones.com
